Kacy Catanzaro: the first woman in history to qualify for Mt. Midoriyama.

I just need everyone to watch this video [x]. She’s a 5 foot, 100 lb gymnast and she beasts through this insanely difficult, heavily upper body focused course like it was her morning jog. The camera keeps cutting to these massive, musclebound men in the audience with their mouths hanging open.

OH SNAP this photoset shows those insane vertical obstacles, look at her go.

Because Ayako Miyake, the girl who has successfully conquered Mt. Midoriyama MORE THEN ONCE, doesn’t exist?

Like really, do your research next time. (Oh and the Japanese name for the Show Ninja Warrior is Sasuke.)

Well, by going to the link you provided, it clearly states that Ayako Miyake competed on “Kunoichi”, which was a similar all-women version of Sasuke/Ninja Warrior. Going to the page in that wiki for Kunoichi, it says that it takes place on the same site and in the same format as Sasuke, but not that any of the obstacles were the same. It even states that the final stage is similar, but is not the same as Sasuke’s Mt Midoriyama. I would also assume that the obstacles Miyake faced were designed with women in mind, where Sasuke/Ninja Warrior is a unisex/probably male-centric designed course.

So yes, Kacy Catanzaro is technically the first woman to qualify for the Sasuke/Ninja Warrior final stage, Mt Midoriyama.
